On April 28, the Florida SDU took time out to not only recognize the hard work of our employees, but to get outside and enjoy the Florida sunshine at one of Tallahassee’s most beautiful parks.

This year’s Family Fun Day was an event to remember. Over 60 employees and family members participated in fun activities such as face painting, a water balloon toss, and dominos. To cater to our more competitive attendees, we had activities like a hula hoop contest, football, and a highly anticipated kickball game.

What would a fun day in the park be without a cookout? While most were off playing games, our project director, Mara Cooper, and her husband were busy cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for all the attendees. In addition, there was cotton candy and popcorn for everyone, and researcher Seth Womble won a $25 gift card for his Pistachio Pudding cake. All in all, a fun time was had by everyone!
